This STD test screens for the 6 most common sexually transmitted infections.

Chlamydia
Chlamydia is a highly prevalent sexually transmitted infection that can be treated with medications. It is brought on by the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis.  The CDC reports that although being simple to treat, chlamydia is highly prevalent since the majority of those infected do not exhibit any symptoms and choose not to seek medical attention.

Syphilis
Treponema pallidum is the bacteria that causes syphilis.  Syphilis has various stages (primary, secondary, latent, and tertiary).  Primary and secondary syphilis cases, the most contagious phases of syphilis, are increasing, with a 34% increase in cases recorded in women and a more than 9% increase in cases reported in men in 2021.

HIV (1&2)
Human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, is a virus that spreads by contact with bodily fluids, such as blood or during sexual activity.  The virus targets and damages immunological cells, gradually weakening the immune system.
AIDS is a disease that can develop from HIV.

Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted infection that can be treated with medications. It is brought on by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae.  Many gonorrhea patients, according to the CDC, don't exhibit any symptoms, which might cause patients to put off seeking medical attention and increase transmission.

Hepatitis C
The hepatitis C virus (HCV), a blood-borne virus, is what causes hepatitis C, a liver illness.  HCV is seldom introduced through sexual activity and is more frequently spread through the use of needles or blood exposure.

Trichomoniasis
Trichomonas vaginalis, a protozoan parasite, is the source of the relatively frequent infection trichomoniasis (or "trich").  About 70% of persons with trichomoniasis do not have any symptoms.

Although many infected individuals may not exhibit symptoms, there are a few universal warning indicators to watch out for.  Such as; pain during sex, blisters or sores on or near the genitalia, or burning while urinating?

Other symtoms may include:

  • Groin or Pelvic Pain
  • Painful or burning sensation when urinating
  • Reproductive sores on or near the genitals
  • Pain or burning while having sex
  • Swelling of the genitals
  • Abnormal penile discharge
  • Rash around the penis

If you are sexually active and want to know if you have an STI, this test is an easy and confidential method find out.
